Mid July, we celebrated Easton's 8th Birthday. His birthday fell on a Sunday this year so we had a small birthday celebration on that day. This included Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast.
Opening his gifts from Mom & Dad which included a new Pokemon DS game and a new bike. For dinner Easton chose tacos...his favorite. Then we sang happy birthday as Easton blew out candles on his cupcake size brownies with chocolate frosting & Reese's on top. It was a WONDERFUL day.
But the REAL party began Monday night...
When we had Easton's "INDIANA JONES" Birthday party. We had 5 of Easton's very bestest friends come over for a party that was all things "Indiana Jones."
We started the evening with a "archaeological dig" in our sandbox out back. The boys dug for gold, snakes, guns, magnifying glasses & bones. Anything that they found they got to take home with them. We then had a blow dart war with straws and q-tips. After that game was over, they had to quickly take a poison anecdote (M&M in medicine bottles) to rid their bodies of any poison that they were hit with by the darts. We ended the games with a grenade water balloon fight. The boys had such a blast!! The boys then cooled off by swimming in the pool while I got there dinner ready for them to eat.
Dinner consisted of worms, mosquito wings, gooey bugs & brains. YUMMY!! They ended the night by watching "Indiana Jones:Raiders of the Lost Arc." It was such a fun party and perfect for boys!!
