OK, so I know that Thanksgiving is about being with family, eating great food & counting your blessings. I do KNOW that. I enjoy all of that but one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving, is hosting the dinner. It started a few years ago when my Mom was recovering from her cancer surgery. My sis-n-law & I decided that we would still cook a Thanksgiving meal, without Mom's help, so that she could just come and enjoy, without having to do all the work. Since then, I think that I've hosted the Thanksgiving meal at my house 3 out of the 4 years. I LOVE IT!! I don't like the cooking so much. I mean, I'll cook but what I really LOVE is setting the table. Finding stuff around my house to set a beautiful table. SERIOUSLY, I could spend 3 hours prepping my table so it looks just right and I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! I think I got this from my mom-n-law, Holly. She is an AMAZING entertainer. Really, she's the best!! So each time I have a party or gathering, I think, "How would Holly do it??" and I do my best to copy her.
So thanks Mom, for being willing to let me host the dinner & bringing all your yummy food to my house. And thanks Holly for all your creative decorating/entertaining that inspires me.

Wow, Can you teach me how to host a party. We do buffet style cause that's how I was raised and how Eric's family does it. I would love to have a dining room.. hey I do have one.. I could just quit preschool and have my dining room back..hhmmm...NOT... I love teaching more than I love setting the table LOL
