Last Saturday night, (June 6th), As I was crazily prepping the house for Sunday's company after Hayes' blessing...I realized, what I REALLY needed to do before Hayes' blessing was give Hayes a haircut.
At our house, I NEVER cut my boys hair. I am good at a lot of things but cutting hair is definatley NOT one of them. But it needed to be done.
So I laid him on the ground, and just as I was getting ready to make the first cut (so scary), the door bell rang. It was Uncle Layne and Aunt Jane who were up from Central for the blessing. HOORAY~ They were just in time!!
Auntie Jane quickly went upstairs with me and gave Hayes his very first haircut. Cutting of about an inch...yes, an inch. (Even though he was only 7 weeks old). She did an awesome job!! I'd TOTALLY hire her to cut my boys hair all the time if only she lived closer. I guess all that practice she's had has paid off. Thanks Jane, at least his hair only stuck up 1" instead of 2" for his blessing.
