Yep!! That's my RJ, in a Diamondback uniform, playing ball at Chase Field.
On Sept. 9th, RJ got to attend Diamondbacks Fantasy Baseball camp, thanks to Cox Communications. It was a dream come true for my sweetheart who's second love (behind me...of course), is baseball.
Each person got there own custom Dback jersey, baseball pants (with their name embroidered in the waistband), baseball cleats, baseball glove, hat, etc.
ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you'd need to play ball in the big leagues.
Each player got to spend the morning practicing on the field at various stations (batting, fielding, etc.). Then they divided into 2 teams & played a game against each other. The game had everything that you'd experience at a real Dbacks game (except the 12,000 fans). But the players got to have the National Anthem played by the Dbacks famous organist as they stood on the baseline. They had all the players names/numbers/positions up on the jumbo tron. As well as the counts & score.
RJ's coaches for his team were Matt Williams and Junior Spivey. Of course Baxter was there to cheer on the teams.
It was an AMAZING experience that RJ will NEVER forget.
